talkbackTHAMES announced today that Mark Sidaway has been promoted to the role of Co-Executive Producer to work alongside Beth Hart as Co-Executive Producer of The X Factor. Both Mark and Beth report into Richard Holloway, Director of Entertainment, talkbackTHAMES and Executive Producer of The X Factor.
Mark has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the show having series produced the BAFTA Award winning fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh series of The X Factor. Prior to this, Mark was the Series Producer on The Xtra Factor series two and three. In 2006, Mark led the team that re-formatted and re-launched the popular hit All Star Family Fortunes with Vernon Kaye. In 2001, Mark was part of the team that developed the world-wide award winning format Pop Idol with Simon Fuller. He also developed and produced Union Jack with Jack Osborne for Channel 4.
Cat Lawson has also joined the team as Series Producer. Cat has an impressive track record working on high profile entertainment shows including as Senior Producer on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here both in the UK and the US. She has also series produced Dancing on Ice and has worked on Hell’s Kitchen (Channel 4) and Any Dream Will Do (BBC1) as a Senior Producer.
